Ruth White, a Great American Fencer

Host Rekaya Gibson honors Ruth White, the first African American to win a U.S. Fencing Championship (1969). She was the first American to win a medal at the Junior World Championships. White also became the first African American woman to represent the U.S. in fencing at the Olympics.  #KeepItSporty
